Health Tip Of The Day: "The Importance Of H2O!"

Health Tip Of The Day: "The Importance of H2O!"

Water. 60% of our bodies are made up of Water! It has many means of evaporating and leaving our bodies through breathing, urinating, sweating, and producing stool. A lot of people don't include enough water in their diets to replace the water they are losing each day, this results in what we call Dehydration! Dehydration can cause a wide range of health complications, therefore we do not want to experience this, and the easiest way to avoid it is to DRINK WATER! Although it is recommended to drink about 8 glasses of water a day it's merely just a guideline, you can drink a little more, or a little less, but you should strive to drink at the very least 4-6 glasses of water a day!

We also intake water when we consume various other liquids and foods, but the best and most efficient way to ensure you're getting enough is just to chug back a few good, plain old glasses of water every single day! I'm going to list some benefits that we all could receive just by ensuring we get enough H2O in our systems each day, then you can tell me whether or not it's worth choosing water over Juice, Pop, or any other liquids we drink these days that are chalk full of sugar and caffeine (Which by the way, if you consume too much can be a problem all on their own).

Here are some great benefits water has on your body:

- Drinking Water Helps Maintain A Good Balance Of Bodily Fluids
Because 60% of your body is made up of water, it is obvious that many tasks your body goes through each day are affected by how much water you have to offer. Some of these tasks include Digestion, Blood Circulation, Production of Saliva, Transportation of essential nutrients, and the regulation of body temperature. For all of these tasks, as well as many others to run smoothly you must have a good amount of water in your system!

- Drinking Water Helps To Control Calories
Water has been used to assist people with losing weight quite frequently! When you switch from high calorie drinks such as Pop, Juice, Coffee, etc to Water, right away you are already on the path to losing a couple pounds just from limiting your caloric intake through liquids. As well as this, drinking enough water can make you feel fuller therefore causing you to binge eat and snack less when not necessary.

- Drinking Water Energizes Muscles
When you don't have enough water in your system it can cause your muscles to Fatigue, to prevent this drink a glass of water before you go to workout, and maintain a steady intake of water at any point in time when you are sweating quite a bit. This will ensure that your muscles stay hydrated and work up to par at all times.

- Drinking Water Hydrates Skin
If you're dehydrated your skin may look more dry and wrinkled, ensuring you are well hydrated will also ensure that your skin looks hydrated and healthy.

- Drinking Water Helps Your Kidneys Remove Toxins
Water helps transport toxins out of your body through urine. When you are drinking enough water, your kidneys do a great job of releasing toxins in your urine which increases your overall health. When you are dehydrated your kidneys do not release as much urine, instead they help your body store water which also keeps the toxins stored inside your body. Your urine should be clear or a light yellow, if it is dark yellow and/or you can smell it, drink some darn water already!

So there you have it! Water is amazing, drink it!

Quote Of The Day: "Suffer The Pain Of Discipline, or Suffer The Pain Of Regret!"

Quote Of The Day: " Suffer The Pain Of Discipline, or Suffer The Pain Of Regret!"

I absolutely love this quote! It states the simple truth, whether you choose to discipline yourself through the rough times to finally progress to something better (A better lifestyle, A better job, A better relationship, Better health, A better environment for your family) or not is up to you! But if you do not work through it, and you allow yourself to stay in a place where you are unhappy, unhealthy, and unsafe it is only the pain of regret you're going to feel!

With this quote, I want you to really think hard about the difficulties life is presenting you with right now, is there any resentments you have in life that you'd really like to push through but just haven't had the time or energy? Well I can tell you I've had plenty, and although it's hard to embrace those feelings and decide you've had enough of them, it is VERY possible to get past them!

First you must acknowledge what negative situations are currently impacting your life, then you must ask yourself what it is you'd have to do to rid yourself of these situations! If you are serious about making a commitment and changing your life, you will find a way if not many to get yourself out of a negative situation. When you've found what it is you must do, you must then ask yourself why and how bad you would like to live a happier, healthier, and more vibrant life! When you know what it is you'd like to get rid of, how to get past it, and why you want to surpass it, it is then that the real pain kicks in!

Discipline, Perseverance, Keeping yourself inspired, When the going gets tough get tougher. You must account for all of these and many more aspects if you wish to improve your life. When you decide to make a change it is not deciding that is difficult, it is continuing to make that change every day even when it seems impossible that is truly difficult! It is also just that that is going to ensure your success! Discipline even under the most wretched of circumstances is what makes change.

So keep in mind, ridding yourself of pain and suffering is a pain in itself, but the regret of living with that pain all of your life and never doing a thing about it will be the worst pain of all!
